This is not just an event but a call to the greater church of Knoxville to behold Jesus in all His worth. Jesus told us that “my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations,” (Mt 21:13), and this imperative/command extends cross-denominationally, and into the will of God for His Church. Furthermore, Jesus gave us a model of prayer in Matthew 6 and says we ought to pray, “your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it in heaven,” (6:10). Right now, in heaven all the angels, twenty-four elders, and saints are falling on their face before a holy God, and are ceaselessly exalting Jesus! So, if that is so right now in all eternity, may that be so in Knoxville and Lenoir City as it is in heaven. Praise God.

 

Beyond this, we need to pray. All major revival and catalytic movements of God begin in prayer, and unless we pray there is no power. Our communities are ravaged by drug abuse, marital strife, and spiritual apathy, and we as the people of God need to pray against the strongholds that are binding people from seeing the light of the gospel. We need to pray! Our hope is that this event might happen on a regular basis, but also that it changes the community and the people who are coming. That is the hope and our biggest intercessory cry.
